Past President of The Mississippi Bar, Don Dornan has been engaged in the active practice of law in South Mississippi since 1977. His experience in trial practice includes automobile, premises liability, admiralty, product liability, workers compensation and insurance litigation. He has also represented public and private employers, attorneys and physicians in business disputes and has represented casino executives in severance negotiations. Don has carried the "AV®" rating by Martindale-Hubbell® since 1990.

Don is Board certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He was inducted as a Fellow into the American College of Trial Lawyers. He is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and the American Inns of Court. Don also devotes a portion of his practice to mediation and arbitration. He is a member of the Alternate Dispute Resolution Section, American Arbitration Association, The Mississippi Bar Alternate Dispute Resolution Section and the Society of Professionals in Dispute Resolution. During the last five years, he has mediated and arbitrated over 500 cases. Don has served as President of the Harrison County Bar Association and the American Inns of Court. He is a Fellow of the Mississippi Bar Foundation and is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, The Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit and the Mississippi Trial Lawyers Association. He previously served on the Ethics Committee of The Mississippi Bar and the Committee on Professional Responsibility.

Don tries cases in all counties in South Mississippi as well as the Federal Courts in the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi. He is a frequent lecturer on litigation and alternate dispute resolution topics and has argued numerous cases before federal and state appellate courts.
